In response to a request from the Government of Cambodia, the Government of Japan decided to conduct a development study on Solid Waste Management in the Municipality of Phnom Penh and entrusted the study to the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The report consists of three components: a study on the present practices of waste management; the solid waste management master plan until the year 2015; and the feasibility of the priority projects.
