Sihanoukville, Cambodia’s largest coastal city, has seen particularly massive inflows of Chinese investment, especially in the casino, construction and manufacturing sectors. Based on semi-structured interviews, this article investigates the impact of Chinese investments on working conditions of Cambodian workers.
