Today, the urban development explosion is radically changing the morphology and landscape of the Cambodian capital. Faced with issues linked to the quality of life and adapting to climate change, the teams of the cities of Paris and Phnom Penh have worked together to draw up a development plan for the area south of Phnom Penh and a project for recovering the banks of the Tonlé Sap. This work was carried out in the context of the decentralised co-operation programme between Paris and Phnom Penh and supported by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
